Fall Art

I thought it would be fun to do a fall, handprint painting since Joy is a little bit older now and the Christmas ones last year turned out so cute.  (I can't believe how much bigger the girls are this year!)

We used a twin pack of 11x14 canvas that I got at the thrift store a long time ago.

Ready to start!

 oh wait.....

  Okay, NOW we are ready.

Claire was first in hopes that Joy would get just a glimmer of an idea as to what I wanted her to do.  She watched intently.

We took little breaks to let the paint dry so it wouldn't become smudged and smeary.

Claire loved it.

While I was taking pictures of Claire I didn't notice that Joy had gotten her hands on some paint.

Oh well....

We decided that she would have a pile of raked leaves in her picture.

Joy lost patience quickly and started to cause trouble.

Claire worked hard on her picture and it came out beautifully.
She is so proud of it.  She was also kind to Joy and told her "Oh Joy!  Yours is pretty too!"  Even though she was upset that Joy had "ruined" hers.
